High-Density Rack Power Demands

When there is insufficient power capacity per PDU or outlet, one approach is adding PDUs (as many as 8 per cabinet) to meet desired cabinet kW ratings. Alternatively, using a smaller number of higher-amperage PDUs with higher breaker counts delivers more power on a per-outlet basis. In cases where excess RU space is available, high-power horizontal rack PDUs are an option and allow for room for cabling and connectivity to meet overall density demands.
