What's the best rack PDU solution for your data center?
Let us break it down for you.
At Server Technology, we understand that power needs vary from customer to customer. Some data centers require all-in-one power solutions complete with all the available bells and whistles, while others have more basic needs. But one thing that doesn't vary is the desire for a best-in-class high quality power product.
Sales Engineer Amanda Senger says Server Technology's large selection of PDUs is a major differentiator among its competitors.
“We're really good at one thing: PDUs. We have over 2,000 different part numbers, where our competitors only have 100-200, so we have a lot more flexibility we can offer our customers."
Amanda Senger
Sales Engineer, Server Technology
With so many options to choose from, it's easy to become overwhelmed when deciding which power solution is right for your data center. With this in mind, we've created a handy rack PDU selection wizard and flow chart that addresses all levels of power needs – from basic, non-metered PDUs to Switched POPS with outlet-level power monitoring.
"Ultimately," Senger says, "there's a solution for everyone with Server Tech's PDU lineup. Whether your needs are basic or complex, we offer a solution for you. Even if you don't need power monitoring, you're probably still going to want a high outlet count in a high-quality PDU."

Ultimate Flexibility
Do you need hybrid outlets that can function as a C13 or C19 outlet?
Cx Outlet
The Cx outlet is the ultimate in flexibility, a C13 and C19 combined into one outlet. With no additional parts, a C14 or a C20 cable can be plugged into the Cx outlet.
Server Technology's HDOT Cx is the only PDU on the market to win multiple awards. With our new and innovative Cx outlet, you get two in one; a C13 and C19, thus the Cx outlet accommodates both C14 and C20 plugs. This reduces complexity and allows for the selection process to be simplified, while also lowering end costs. With HDOT Cx, you won't have to buy a new set of PDUs when equipment changes.

Easy Load Balancing
Alternating phase outlets alternate the phased power on a per-outlet basis instead of a per-branch basis. This allows for shorter cords, quicker installation and easier load balancing for 3-phase rack mount PDUs.
High Density Outlet Technology
High Density Outlet Technology (HDOT) has the most outlets in a 42U intelligent Rack PDU. Comes with high native cord retention and color-coded alternating-phase outlets for easy cabling.

This innovative design reduces complexity within the selection process and limits the need to purchase a new set of PDUs when equipment changes, resulting in lowering end costs. HDOT Cx PDUs still have all the great features from previous HDOT PDUs: the most outlets per form factor, easy load balancing, and the ability to customize your PDU to the configuration of choice in only four easy steps

Switched Per Outlet Power Sensing PDUs feature highly accurate, outlet-level power monitoring for your data center power needs. Switched POPS PDUs are expandable and offer optional temperature and humidity probes. They also feature rack level power management, input power monitoring, environmental (temperature and humidity) monitoring, outlet groups and alarms.
With Per Outlet Power Sensing, you can see measurements for load (in amps), voltage, active power, apparent power, crest factor, power factor and power consumption (measured in W-hrs). Certain models also feature retractable fuse or breaker branch circuit protection. With POPS technology, outlets may be linked to one or multiple groups without loss of control of that individual outlet. SNMP trap email alerts give you automated warnings for power and environmental conditions. POPS units are also expandable, with the ability to add additional outlets through the link unit without additional IP address. The optional humidity and temperature probes are attached to 10-foot cords that allow for measurements in various locations within the cabinet. You can then view the values from the rack PDU interface or send out trap email alerts to warn when certain thresholds have been met or exceeded.
