Engineering Designer

Special Skills/Abilities:
•   Experience in an engineering support role with emphasis on sheet metal, harnessing, wiring diagram, PCB schematic, and BOM development.
•   Strong knowledge of drafting standards for electrical and mechanical assemblies.
•   Experience with writing ECO’s using PLM software.
•   Utilizing PCB design software to perform PCB design, schematic, and fabrication documentation updates
•   Experience with performing Hipot, SELV, and Thermal testing.
•   Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
•   Demonstrated ability to facilitate meetings, manage projects, create and document standards.
•   Demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate multiple priorities to deadlines.
•   Microsoft office required, Access experience a plus.  
•   Experience with Altium, Inventor, Productstream/Vault and Omnify a plus

Minimum Experience: Associates Degree CAD design or equivalent  experience

Essential Functions:

•  Works closely with Design and Manufacturing Teams to develop and finalize product documentation for existing and newly developed products.
•  Supports all Sustaining Engineering functions creating: sheet metal fabrication drawings, finish drawings, cabling drawings, specification and source control drawings, and assembly drawings using a 3D modeling software package.
•  Updates and generates wiring diagrams. Update PCB designs and schematics, generate gerber files, and update PCB fabrication notes utilizing PCB design software.
•  Creates and modifies Bills of Materials (BOM’S) through an Engineering Change Order (ECO) process.  
•  Works with Sales team to develop End Item BOM’s.  
•  Perform first article validation and testing; inclusive of thermal analysis, Hipot, and SELV.
•  Reviews drawings and BOM’s for accuracy and completeness, ensuring Server Tech Engineering drafting standards are met.
•  Helps develop and document methods for process improvement and control.
•  Facilitate meetings and manage projects.
•  Researches and resolves issues associated to PLM database.
•  Performs backup role to System Administrator for Inventor and Vault.
•  Status open projects to direct management..

Software/Firmware Engineering - Intern Position

FW and SW resource with job responsibilities varying depending on abilities.

Responsibilities may include:
- Support the FW and SW team with testing
- CDU setup and configuration
- FW updates (board and GUI/Application level)
- Document creation and development
- Test results documentation and any other tasks as required.
- In some cases close cooperation with the FW testing team, SPM test and integration team, FW engineers, engineering tech and other parties within the Engineering team.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Must be detail oriented.
2. Capable of creating and following test plans.
3. Experience preferred with testing of software and hardware integrated systems.
4. Ability to document and recreate bugs/problems/fixes with a software bug tracking tool.
5. Must be self-directing.
6. Capable of working in a team environment.

Compliance and Component Electrical Engineer - Intern Position

Component Engineering
1. Work with STI's Quality department to facilitate Engineering's role in the Alternate Sourcing process.
- Perform comparative analysis of specifications between current and proposed alternate components.
- Maintain Approved Vendors List in STI's Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
2. Assist project managers, designers, and Purchasing with part cross-referencing, locating readily available components.
3. Interface with Engineering Services to complete new component Spec and Source Control documentation.
4. Assist in laboratory qualification testing of components, circuit designs, and products.

Environmental Compliance
1. Interface with environmental consultant GreenSoft to maintain STI's environmental database.
2. Work under Compliance Engineers to assure STI's compliance with global environmental legislation.
3. Assist in developing supporting environmental compliance documentation to support Production and Sales.
4. Perform X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis of components to ensure compliance with RoHS.
5. Facilitate European WEEE (e-waste) maintenance.

Regional Sales Manager

This position will be responsible for the Nebraska, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri and Kansas territory

Some of the responsibilities will include:
1. Manage existing Enterprise customers
2. Support existing channel partners sales efforts
3. Identify and develop new channel sales partners
4. Develop new Enterprise customers through prospecting activities
5. Represent STI at regional trade shows and other marketing functions
6. Solidify STI's presence in the local marketplace through consistent participation in networking organizations and events
7. The candidate will work in a team environment with Inside Sales to coordinate efforts and support for enterprise customer and reseller channels

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience:
1. Bachelor's Degree
2. 3+ years selling products and/or services in a Datacenter environment, or in supporting reseller channels doing the same
3. Proven track record of achieving sales objectives in a team environment
4. A combination of Account Management and Account Development skills are required with a proven track record of success
5. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of different sales methodologies and will be able to learn the methods employed by STI and apply them to their selling activities. This approach will rely heavily on the candidate's ability to identify specific customer needs
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with customers and all STI functional departments, including executive management
7. Strong knowledge in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Calendar, Power Point, etc...)
8. Must be self-motivated

Senior Electrical Engineer

Some of the duties will include:
1. PCB Design with voltage/current analog sensors in addition to microprocessor controlled digital circuits
2. Power distribution and switching design (AC/DC 400V, 100A)
3. Mixed signal design Analog/Digital
4. Design for Test/Design for Manufacturing
5. Working on multiple projects with fluctuating deadlines and priorities

The ideal candidate will have the following skills/experience:

5. Electrical safety as well as EMI/EMC experience
6. Signal Integrity experience
7. High density product packaging design experience a plus
