Cost Accounting Specialist

Department: Finance

Job Summary
Under general direction of the Assistant Controller, the Cost Accounting Specialist will compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. This position will perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. May also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers. The Cost Accounting Specialist will ensure that all assigned duties are performed quickly, efficiently and according to the established departmental and company policies, procedures and goals.

Essential Job Functions
• Coordinate the daily activities of the accounts payable process for contract manufacturers and freight vendors.
• Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports to compare standard costs to actual production costs.
• Assist with cycle count audits and review reports for large variances.
• Process daily check deposits.
• Provide back-up assistance for cost accounting functions for all general ledger transactions, standard journal entry, and account reconciliations.
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries.
• Perform statistical analysis to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes, and write narrative reports explaining findings.
• Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
• As directed, determine proper handling of financial transactions and approves transactions within designated limits.
• Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
• Install, modify, document, and coordinate implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures.
• Display original thinking and creativity; Meet challenges with resourcefulness; Generate suggestions for improving work; Develop innovative approaches and ideas.

• Computer proficient with knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint).
• Advanced proficiency in use of a personal computer and current software applications including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ERP Software.

Receptionist

Job Summary
Under direction of the Human Resources Manager, the Receptionist will provide exceptional customer service to answer questions and provide Company information to the general public, customers, visitors, and other interested parties. The Receptionist will perform a variety of administrative tasks and data entry. This position ensures that all assigned duties are performed quickly, efficiently and according to the established departmental and company policies, procedures and goals.

Essential Job Functions
• Operate telephone switchboard to answer, screen, or forward calls, provide information, take messages, or schedule appointments.
• Provide exceptional customer service to respond to routine questions and provide information in a timely manner.
• Greet persons entering establishment, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations.
• Use appropriate resources to determine answers to questions from customers or members of the public.
• Schedule appointments and maintain and update appointment calendars.
• Transmit information or documents to customers, using computer, mail, or facsimile machine.
• Perform administrative support tasks, such as proofreading, data entry, or operating calculators or computers to work with pay records, invoices, balance sheets, or other documents.
• Operate and maintain postage meter.
• Post accounting invoices on clipboard.
• Attach Accounts Receivable check stubs to accounting invoices on clipboard.
• Respond to requests for W-9's and supplier forms.
• Coordinate lunch orders for meetings.
• Create office signs (new employees, birthdays, welcome guests, etc.).
• Call vendors for emergency issues with the building.

Technical / Professional Knowledge
• High School Diploma or GED; Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college, preferred; or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of 6 months receptionist and administrative support experience.

• Work closely with Server Technology's Channel Management teams and channel partners to ensure customer satisfaction throughout the selling process.
• Utilize proactive selling methods to improve market share, revenue growth, and profitability as defined by Server Technology.
• Design, develop, enhance and execute business and marketing plans to maximize sales and profits and overall customer satisfaction.
• Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts.
• Proactively support Regional Channel Sales Manager to in the planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive partner relationship.
• Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis.

ERP Developer

Under direction of the IT Manager, the ERP Developer will play a key support role in analyzing, programming, and implementing enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) software products. Essential Job Functions
• Work with software users to understand their business requirements and develop software customizations to address these requirements.
• Troubleshoot, support and maintain business software primarily the ERP software, middleware and integrated software products (including PLM and CRM systems).
• Coordinate with business users to test software upgrades, new releases and patches as they are provided by application software vendors.
• Develop an expertise in Crystal Reports, SQL Reporting, queries and dashboards and be a resource to management for developing new reports, queries and dashboards.
• Develop project design documentation.
• Be a resource to STI for developing new database applications required by other areas of the company.
• Stay current with IT trends and new product developments.
• Attend IT-related classes deemed necessary by IT management to supplement current IT skills and develop additional knowledge and expertise in IT-related subjects.

· Proactively assess, clarify, and validate partner needs on an ongoing basis.
