Smart Load Shedding Ensures Uptime

Server Technology is the first company to offer data center managers the ability to automatically manage CDU power outlets based on key operating parameters. Should key parameters such as temperature or load current exceed defined thresholds or if the UPS loses utility power, all or a portion of the load can be automatically shed to ensure longer operational life of your critical devices.

In even the best data centers, situations will arise that threaten uptime. Implementing switched CDU’s with Smart Load Shedding technology ensures that problems like loss of power to the UPS, cooling problems or over current conditions won’t affect your ability to continue critical operations.

The Remote Shutdown Agent is used to provide an orderly shutdown of remote computers, including the ability to execute a user-defined script to perform custom shutdown activities such as shutting down a database. In addition to executing a shutdown based on system settings, a user configured auto recovery will restore powering to previously shed devices.
