Server Technology demonstrates NEW! Sentry Product at Data Center World Expo
New and Improved Smart Cabinet Power Distribution Units added to new Smart Products
(Reno, NV), February 25, 2008 – Server Technology, the industry leader for Power Distribution and Management Solutions, will be demonstrating its new and improved Sentry Smart Cabinet Power Distribution Units (PDU’s) at the upcoming Data Center World Expo.
These Smart 24-outlet CDU’s have significant features within the PDU market place. These features include the addition of fuse retractors, updated Firmware, linking capability, and the overall color and silkscreen of the units.
About the Features
- Fuse Retractors
These CDU’s will include our tool-less fuse retractors that make fuse replacement effortless. The fuse retractor simply rotates the standard SC-20 Cooper Bussmann fuse in and out of line for easier access
- Firmware Update to 6.0
These Smart 24-outlet Cabinet PDU’s will be available with our 6.0 firmware. The changes include an updated web interface look and feel to match our Switched product line, UPS voltage and status polling, wattage and watts per area calculations, and 3-Phase power out-of-balance check. *Firmware update is available for download from our website www.servertech.com March 6, 2008.
- Linking Master and Expansion Units under one IP Address
The Smart CDU family now has the capability to daisy chain a Master unit (CS model numbers) to an Expansion unit (CL model numbers). This feature provides the ability to link two power circuits under one IP address, a key feature within our Switched CDU product line for some time now.
- Overall appearance
The color of these units has changed from ivory to black. The silkscreened text labels are positioned so that they may be easily read if the units are mounted with the power cord coming out of the top or bottom of the cabinet.
